Following the explosive opening sets of ¡Mayday! and Jay Rock, Strange Music’s Kutt Calhoun took the stage in a fiery burst of red, letting his MC skill and stage presence be known to all in attendance for the Tech N9ne headlining evening at Knitting Factory Concert House here in Reno, NV.
Still high atop the fact that I was the only photographer in the pit for the evening, the creative possibilities seemed almost endless with my Nikon D7000 fitted with Nikon’s legendary 50mm f/1.8D. Through this set, my aperture was stuck ‘wide open’ at 1.8, shutter speed glued to 1/250th of a second and ISO pumping a beefy value of 1600. Insert on-stage talent and voila!
