The second I heard K.Flay rapping on Murder At The Discotech by fellow Oakland producer Amp Live (Zion I, Zion I & The Grouch), I was smitten. Aurally, she is what DJ Shadow might refer to as “in tune and on time” and has since moved up the ranks as my personal favorite femcee.
Lucky for those of us here in Reno this weekend, Ms. K.Flay will be dropping by for a set at Cargo @ CommRow, a relatively-new downtown venue which you may remember from our recent coverage of hometown hero Whitney Myer & fellow contestant on The Voice, Lindsay Pavao.
Opening acts include two of Reno’s finest hip-hop groups, Knowledge Lives Forever and Locus, so get there early and come support your local Reno talent!
