Science Fiction Meets Reality: Alien Sky | Walkthrough

Alien Sky

When updating LensFlare the other day, I noticed in the release notes that the talented folks over at BrainFeverMedia were on to something big…this revelation has a name folks, and it is Alien Sky.

Most likely my new go-to app for finishing things up prior to posting on Instagram, and making available as 12×12 lustre/glossy prints, is the youngest child in this growing family of iOS applications, Alien Sky, and in today’s walkthrough we welcome our readers viewers to join us on a joyride into this supernova of science fiction flavored iPhoneography applications.

Well, let’s have at it, shall we?!

Social Photo Sharing: Instagram | Filters, Frames, Brightness & Contrast

Instagram

First off, my apologies for the sudden break in-between Instagram / iPhoneography tutorials, as a Hawaiian vacation happened and I lost all sense of work ethic.  Can you blame me?

Anyhow, I’m back and ready to share as much information as possible from what I’ve learned during my yearlong submersion in the popular social photo sharing app, Instagram.

While we’re still in the basic realm of iPhoneography tutorials, today’s post showcases one of my personal favorite features Instagram, or any other iOS photo app for that matter has to offer, and that is a very simple auto-brightness / auto-contrast button.  With just a single button press, many photos can be greatly improved upon, or at least fashioned into something more interesting than the original using this simple-but-effective feature.

Also in today’s video tutorial we walk through applying filters and frames to photos being uploaded to Instagram, which is the basis of my initial fascination with the application, and should not go overlooked by any means.

Well, let’s have at it, shall we?!
