Social Photo Sharing: Instagram | Filters, Frames, Brightness & Contrast

Instagram

First off, my apologies for the sudden break in-between Instagram / iPhoneography tutorials, as a Hawaiian vacation happened and I lost all sense of work ethic.  Can you blame me?

Anyhow, I’m back and ready to share as much information as possible from what I’ve learned during my yearlong submersion in the popular social photo sharing app, Instagram.

While we’re still in the basic realm of iPhoneography tutorials, today’s post showcases one of my personal favorite features Instagram, or any other iOS photo app for that matter has to offer, and that is a very simple auto-brightness / auto-contrast button.  With just a single button press, many photos can be greatly improved upon, or at least fashioned into something more interesting than the original using this simple-but-effective feature.

Also in today’s video tutorial we walk through applying filters and frames to photos being uploaded to Instagram, which is the basis of my initial fascination with the application, and should not go overlooked by any means.

Well, let’s have at it, shall we?!
