•I'm With Her•.Yeah, it's a play on Hilary's campaign slogan and the fact that the patriotic beauty in this photo happens to be my wife. See what I did there? Pretty clever, eh?.This is a recent shot we envisioned after photographing some new products of hers for the Kitty Katrina Etsy store (she designs and handcrafts beautiful flower hair accessories like the one seen in the photo right here in Reno) and decided to have a little fun in the sun before wrapping things up for the day..Because we shot this midday, the light was initially pretty harsh, but a slight warmth adjustment in Lightroom and a little color boost in Color Efex Pro helped magnificently. I also masked the clouds, as to expose them separately from the rest of the image, which helped in retaining their highlights and contrast..To me, this shot represents a facet of photography that I'd like to do A LOT more of… working with PEOPLE! •The Eagle Has Landed•.In the spirit of both patriotism and sharing images from outside my comfort zone, I present to you a long exposure shot of a laser-projected bald eagle!.A bit of background: I recently attended a summer solstice party here in Northern Nevada thrown by a good friend and business associate. He, amongst many other things, happens to be super talented at programming laser light shows, and had the evening's show setup to display on a domed ceiling which ran all throughout the party, displaying a constantly-evolving, never duplicated series of moving images and colors that was ultimately entrancing to witness..For processing, I initially managed colors and tones in Lightroom, but also experimented a bit with a double exposure of the same image using Analog Efex Pro..I hope this helps provide a unique contrast to the themed imagery you'll be seeing over the Independence Day holiday this year!. 2016-06-18 9:18PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 42mm️ISO 100 ️f/22 ️20 sec
