•I'm Coming Up•.Who's up for a photowalk?! Getting out and about with a camera in-hand is one of THE BEST ways to discover new locations in familiar places while perhaps capturing less "obvious" images than with planned shoots..For this image, a small group of us were headed back to our car at the Silver Legacy after a brief photowalk downtown and the colors and lines of the Eldorado parking garage elevators called out to me, "Brian… shoot me", or something of the sort. So I dd what anyone should do in that situation… sneak behind the trees, over the bushes and start snapping!.Initially, I had attempted (and failed) to capture a vertical panorama of the scene from this cramped viewpoint, but alas the elevators were fairly active with passengers. However, when discovering that the pano wasn't going to "pan out" I reviewed the individual shots one last time before cutting my losses and moving on. It was only then that the perspective of this one shot resonated with me and begged for some face time..Thank you for viewing — I hope you enjoy the angle and can feel the allure of these elevators as I did when in their presence!. 2016-06-18 5:53PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 24mm️ISO 100 ️f/8.0 ️1/20 sec

•Rise Above•.We all have challenges in our lives that are begging to be overcome. Whether we choose to do so, well that's completely up to us. For me, one specific challenge was actually getting out of my daily rituals and making time to go explore the beauty of our region. Luckily, I had the help of a friend to aid in initially breaking the cycle and expanding the reality of my world. Honestly, I now feel like I am growing again after a period of stagnation and am ready to take on new challenges and create something that will provide both value and a lifetime of memories to myself, my family and others alike..What we're viewing here is a handheld shot I took when squatting close to the ground and getting all up in the lupine's faces. I was initially drawn to the massive amount of light passing through the field of flowers and was further captivated by the haloing effect the rays created around each individual cone. It was a quick snap, but a very rewarding one at that. Thank you for basking in the light of this image with me — now lets get out there and create some memories together!. 2016-06-12 6:32PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 70mm️ISO 100 ️f/11 ️1/60 sec
