•••So Much Drama in the BLC•••.That feeling of stepping out your car on the 8th story of a parking garage, looking over the rail and having the sun catch your eye in a glorious reflection off of Northern Nevada's tallest building…not quite vertigo, but yet almost..What you're seeing here began as a failed attempt at stitching together an 11 shot panorama of the side of the Silver Legacy as viewed from the 8th story parking garage. I guess there was too much discrepancy between the shots for LR to do its magic in successfully creating the pano I had envisioned, but this standalone image really caught my eye and demanded a bit more of my attention..For processing, I did my usual levels and curves in LR, warmed it up and added some contrast in Color Efex Pro, added some noise reduction in Dfine to offset the contrast and thought I was done after outputting from Sharpener Pro's Output Sharpener… The image kept calling to me though… it wanted more drama! Alas, I gave in and sent it over to Analog Efex Pro and found that with a bit of motion and additional contrast and vignetting, we were looking at a very different image; an image that had the drama it was looking for…an image I was much happier with!. 2016-06-18 3:40PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 24mm️ISO 100 ️f/8 ️1/800 sec

•••The Music that We Make••• That feeling of finding a magical place in the world, meeting new friends and making "music" by simply being who and what we are… I had the most wonderful Sunday a couple weeks ago up in Tahoe City, where all of the above transpired amongst the mystical lupines of Northern California. If you look closely against the sky/background, you'll see some white/gray diagonal lines…these are the heavy raindrops we were pelted with while starting our shoot. It lasted but a few moments and our gear stayed mostly dry, but for this image I'm happy to include an element I mostly shy away from — RAIN — which mostly goes underrepresented, except in the form of glorious sun-showers like this! The best part of the entire day? Sharing several hours of straight MAGIC with new friends, being able to look at our images and instantly travel back to that exact moment in time. It's beautiful, man. 2016-06-12 6:00PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 62mm️ISO 100 ️f/22 ️1/15 sec
