•Red Waterfall, Whites Creek•.I was a bit jostled after the weight of my 24-70mm wide angle zoom tipped the tripod over, landing lens first in the dirt and rocks from about 2 feet high. Luckily, the UV protector is what shattered that evening and NOT the lens. That being said, I didn't let it stop me from dusting myself and my gear off and heading down the short trail to Whites Creek (just off Mt. Rose Highway) to shoot this miniature waterfall..The canopy of trees were blocking most of the moonlight, and it was fairly dark in this secluded spot, which gave me the idea to illuminate the scene with my "torch", while adding a red gel for color. With a 60 second exposure and low ISO, one only need to light paint for a few seconds to bathe the scene in color..The sound of water rushing over this fall was quite prominent and had to have been moving hundreds, if not thousands of gallons of water every minute. When thinking back to that evening, I can still hear the white noise of the fall and feel the uneasiness of having nearly destroyed my wide angle zoom. I'm beyond happy to have come out on the right side of the situation that evening, even if the zoom mechanism is a little gritty around 35mm now.. 2016-06-18 11:41PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 24mm️ISO 100 ️f/5.6 ️60 sec️EAGTAC D25LC2 Clicky w/NICHIA 219 High CRI White Tint LED ️@rosco_labs Light Red Gel
