•Teach Me All That You Know•.Before capturing a laser light show, mad scientist tesla coil electricity, moonlit red waterfalls, burn barrels and the people moving around them, stationary frogs on lily pads and rivers of fire under a canopy of trees, there was this beautiful full moon rising in the east while the sun was setting on Northern Nevada, which too, refused to be absent from my camera's sensor that evening in mid-June..I had just arrived at the solstice campout party in South Reno and was walking up from Whites Creek after doing a bit of scouting when the last bit of daylight was hitting the mountains in the distance. I attempted to capture a handheld panorama of the scene but ended up only merging two shots, then applying a hefty crop to accomplish what is seen here in this image..Shortly after these snaps, I made my rounds about the party, shaking hands and meeting all sorts of cool new people, several of which I'm elated to be able to now call my friends. Ultimately, in retrospect, this was an evening of lessons, including why an UV filter is important when a lens goes smashing glass-first into the rocks and dirt of the high desert. Then, as they say, the rest is history.. 2016-06-18 8:28PM️Nikon D750 ️Nikkor 24-70mm @ 24mm️ISO 100 ️f/2.8 ️1/100 sec
